AllergyZone filters are made with a highly
specialized synthetic filtration media. This media provides a combination
of electrostatic and mechanical filtration to ensure excellent performance
that is sustainable over time.
The gradient layering (rough to smooth) of the media allows for
sustained particulate capturing and excellent holding capacity while
minimizing airflow resistance. The filter media will not absorb
moisture and will not support the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew
or fungi in normal use.
The gradient layered media is backed by a galvanized steel wire
mesh for interior strength and stability and pleated to allow more
particulate capturing surface than with a flat-surfaced filter.
