The original Green Sleep Vimala sleep system set the standard for customizable organic mattresses. Based on a European sleep design, the Green Sleep Vimala features its signature stretch velour outer cover, copious wool top layer, customizable all natural latex cores, and Euro dowel flexible foundation. This organic mattress is the crème de la crème in sleep systems, offering supreme luxury and truly individualized sleep comfort for each side of the bed.

The manufacturer recently modified the structure of the Vimala placing the interior layers within an organic shell, making the overall mattress feel more solid. The inner cores are constructed in the original Green Sleep Vimala sleep system:

• Top: 1.5-inch layer (always soft)
• Middle (2 customizable layers)
  • (1) top 1.5-inch layer choice of either: soft or firm
  • (1) bottom 3-inch layer choice of either: soft, medium or firm
• Bottom: 1.5-inch layer (always firm)

The latex cores are made of all natural Dunlop latex processed in Malaysia without any stabilizers, chemical flame retardants, or synthetic materials. Each layer is individually wrapped in organic cotton gauze to protect the latex from wear and because they are wrapped, each layer works independently, as a high end sleep system should.

The outer cover has an incredibly luxurious feeling, when customers run their hand over the surface they nearly swoon. This is a remarkable mattress and feels like you are sleeping on a cloud. The Euro dowel foundation makes the difference. We have found that customers who do not purchase this mattress as a set are slightly disappointed in how it feels without the Euro dowel foundation. The dowels flex individually on each "shock absorber". Dowels are more rigid in areas where you need good support; flex more in areas where you need pressure relief. The result is the only truly "custom fit" sleep experience you will find.

  • Why do we require in home set up on this item?
    • This item is considered fine home furnishings and therefore needs to be set up properly in your home. It may require assembly, which is often difficult and physically challenging.
    • Boxes are heavy/bulky and need to be opened on the truck, removing interior contents so they can be brought inside without tracking dirt/dust into your home.
    • Packaging materials are hard to dispose of without a commercial vehicle.
  • Optional: If you want your old mattress removed, the charge is an additional $100 for a total fee of $300.
