In a class by itself, this handcrafted cotton innerspring organic mattress is carefully constructed to offer you the finest quality organic mattress available today. The covering, padding, binding tape, and insulator pads are made with 100% organic cotton, grown without pesticides or chemical fertilization to provide a healthy, restful sleeping experience.

The feel of this mattress is an orthopedic firm. A natural latex or wool mattress topper can provide extra cushioning and pressure point relief.

This mattress is 8-9" thick.

Features:

• Innerspring System - This organic mattress features a double heat tempered, Royal-Flex® innerspring system designed in Switzerland. The innerspring unit contains 86% more the amount of coils than the industry standard. The coils in the mattress are open-ended, unknotted, six-turn coils providing more flexibility, which means greater sensitivity to body contours, overall body support and relaxation. T-spring side supports are installed around the perimeter of the spring system to provide edge firmness and support.
• Organic Fabric - Pure as snow, the 100% organic outer fabric is made from cotton hand-picked in Peru. This cotton is organically raised without any pesticides. This organic mattress fabric is untreated and completely chemical-free.
• Organic Cotton Fill - Inner cotton batting is 100% organically grown. This organic cotton is free of dyes, sizing chemicals, fabric softener chemicals, and fire retardant chemicals.
• Organic French Wool Wrap - The French Wool Wrap serves as a flame retardant and meets all fire codes without a doctor's prescription! This is needle-punched wool from the south of France. The sheep live outside all year round, which results in a naturally more curly and longer fiber - it is the most resilient wool. The strong natural curl provides lasting resilience, bounce and loft that is superior to the mechanically crimped fibers, which will matt down faster.
• European Hand-tufting - This organic mattress is hand tufted with European tufting straps to pre-compress the padding for orthopedic back support. Royal-Pedic does not use buttons to tuft this organic mattress because buttons have a tendency to turn on their side creating an uncomfortable sleeping surface. What happens is that, over time, as the padding compresses, the string that connects the buttons is no longer as taut allowing the buttons freedom to contort on its side. No need to worry about that with this organic mattress!
