Our thoughts: This mattress offers so much flexibility it's hard to think anyone would not be comfortable sleeping on either model. Our customers are reassured when we tell them they can exchange layers if the firmness is not quite right, which addresses concerns many people have about buying a mattress on the Internet.

It didn't have any unpleasant off-gas odors, only a slight smell of latex, which disappeared within a week. I ordered mine with two layers of hard latex and one layer of medium. I was easily able to rearrange the layers to get a very comfortable feel. Even though I enjoy a hard surface to sleep on, I prefer the medium latex layer on top. Our thoughts: The Savvy Rest Serenity has been tested for back support and pressure relief by the owners for over four years. One sleeps on all Talalay and the other on a combination of both Dunlop and Talalay. He likes a firm mattress. She likes it soft on top, firm underneath. He has back trouble. She is a side sleeper with hip and shoulder pain. Both sleep like a dream on their Savvy Rest layer combinations.

Our thoughts: We think this is a great value if you are in the market for a 100% natural rubber crib mattress. Mattress cover zips off for spot cleaning only. Important: DO NOT WASH! Cover will shrink and you'll have to buy another, which is close to the cost of the mattress.
