Cotton Innerspring Mattresses

Organic Innerspring/Pocket Coil

Is an organic innerspring mattress right for you?

People who choose an organic innerspring mattress are usually looking for a more traditional mattress with firm support. An innerspring mattress is less expensive than latex, making it a good option for families on a budget. This is also a good option for those who are chemically sensitive or allergic to latex.

Our cotton innerspring mattresses are made with organic cotton batting, which means the cotton is grown without pesticides. Pesticides are harmful to those who work the land and to the ground water. Cotton is a sustainable crop and when grown organically, promotes safer farming. By purchasing an organic cotton mattress you make a cleaner, greener choice for you, your family, and those who helped make it.

If a mattress sales person tells you all mattresses have to use chemicals to pass the US Fire Code burn test, they are wrong.

All mattresses sold in the U.S. must meet the Federal Government Safety Code 16 CFR 1633 burn test. How a manufacturer chooses to pass this rigorous test is up to them.

Each of our organic mattress manufacturers have elected not to use toxic flame retardant chemicals of any kind. They have subjected all their models to the same rigorous burn test, and passed, using organic wool or all natural materials. And, they have the certification to prove it.
