With its unique beauty and non-toxic finish, the Sierra, in either a platform or box-spring version, offers the environmentally-conscious buyer many features:
- Eco-friendly materials/finish Our bed is finished with non-toxic water-based stains. Construction is solid wood only – no MDF or particle board. All glues are water soluble and formaldehyde-free.
- Sustainability The Sierra is made from wood reclaimed from century-old warehouses that have been slated to be torn down. By utilizing reclaimed wood, trees are saved and more living forests allowed to remain intact. The old growth timber is rescued from the waste stream and then used anew. By eliminating this waste wood from landfills where it is left to decompose and release carbon into the atmosphere, reclaimed wood is “rescued” and given a second life
Distinct beauty and ageless design
- The grain of the wood with its tight growth rings is indicative of its superior density and strength. The natural, aged sheen and color of the timber is preserved in the manufacturing process, giving this bed a look and feel that cannot be recreated with new wood. Originally harvested and milled decades ago, this reclaimed wood has been exposed to the elements and seasoned in sunny Southern California for decades, giving the wood unparalleled stability.

- US Made This bed is made by hand in the USA. As oftentimes overseas factories may have fewer environmental regulations, local domestic manufacturing has a far lighter impact on the environment than foreign imports.
