What Is "Organic" Furniture, and Why Is It Important?

The dictionary defines organic as relating to, or derived from living organisms; simple, healthful, close to nature. We often think of organic when it comes to food and medicine. Those same principles apply to our healthy home. In addition, organic products are better for the environment and for the people who work with the materials.

Very little waste

Because Cisco Home is committed to sustainability, they create handmade pieces of furniture using repurposed materials with little waste.  In addition, they designed some of their products with scraps of wood and fabric from their own factory.

Cisco partners with vendors who are Certified Fair Trade and uphold the Cisco standards of responsibility. Cisco Home was a founding member of the Sustainable Furniture Council.
